“The fourteenth Pepe on Solana. The worst one. Took 83 days to admit it.”
📜 Obituary
There was never a time when PepeSol wasn't inevitable. The moment Pepe became a meme, someone was going to put it on Solana. Then someone else was going to put it on Solana again. Then eighteen other people were going to put it on Solana. PepeSol was the fourteenth Pepe token on Solana and, crucially, the worst one. It had no differentiation, no community, no utility, and no apparent reason to exist beyond the dev's absolute conviction that the fourteenth time was the charm.
It wasn't the charm. The chart looked like Pepe himself was slowly being deflated by a small leak — gradual, undignified, and accompanied by a faint sad noise that you could almost hear if you stared at the candles long enough. From $6.8M at peak to $1,900 at time of burial, PepeSol took 83 days to truly die, refusing to go quietly in a way that was frankly more impressive than its entire run-up.
The dev posted "we are building the real Pepe ecosystem" as recently as 11 days before this obituary was written. The ecosystem consists of a locked Telegram with 12 members and a website that now redirects to a Japanese cooking blog.
